Spotlight and Black Student Achievement Host Jemele Hill

Join Spotlight and Black Student Achievement as we host Jemele Hill for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. commemoration lecture. Emmy Award winning journalist, Jemele Hill will be on campus January 21, 2020 in Student Center East, Speakers Auditorium at 4 p.m. Ms. Hill will speak on race, justice and equality in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Hill was previously the chief correspondent and senior columnist for The Undefeated, ESPN’s content initiative exploring the intersections of sports, race and culture. Rental Request

Need snacks for an event? Spotlight Programs Board is proud to offer equipment rentals for popcorn, cotton candy, and new snow cone machines! This is a great way to encourage students to attend programs and adds a bit of fun in the process!

Rentals are $50 per day. Concession supplies are available for an additional charge. The rental form on Panthers Involvement Network (PIN) includes further rules and pricing details. The application requires the organization’s name, event date, time and location, a brief description of the event, and payment type.

Spotlight Programs Board offers a few different ways for you to get involved! There are three different types of memberships within Spotlight: volunteers, committees, and the Executive Board.

The Spotlight Programs Board is composed of nine active programming committees and the student-run Cinefest Film Theater, all of which work toward the continual fulfillment of our mission statement.
CinefestCinefest Film Theater
Cinefest is the student-run movie theater. In operation since 1991, Cinefest screens a wide variety of films for the community including cult classics, foreign films, documentaries, independent films and Atlanta premieres.
