Lights, Camera, Lead!

It’s that time of the year again. Do you think you have what it takes to lead the largest student-run organization on campus? Spotlight Programs Board is now accepting applications for all committee chairs and executive leader positions for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Spotlight, a university-sponsored, student-driven organization in the Student Center, is the premiere event planning entity that serves the university. Spotlight addresses the needs and interests of Georgia State’s diverse student body by providing social, cultural, educational and entertainment events to enhance the quality of student life. Rental Request

Need snacks for an event? Spotlight Programs Board is proud to offer equipment rentals for popcorn, cotton candy and new snow cone machines! This is a great way to encourage students to attend programs and adds a bit of fun in the process!

Rentals are $50 per day. Concession supplies are available for an additional charge. The rental form on OrgSync includes further rules and pricing details. The application requires the organization’s name, event date, time and location, a brief description of the event, and payment type.

Spotlight Programs Board offers a few different ways for you to get involved! There are three different types of memberships within Spotlight: volunteers, committees, and the Executive Board.

The Spotlight Programs Board is composed of nine active programming committees and the student-run Cinefest Film Theater, all of which work toward the continual fulfillment of our mission statement.
CinefestCinefest Film Theater
Cinefest is the student-run movie theater. In operation since 1991, Cinefest screens a wide variety of films for the community including cult classics, foreign films, documentaries, independent films and Atlanta premieres.
